Social Responsibility
As we see it, DORMA’s leadership only increases the need for responsible and sensitive relationship with society. Thus, DORMA:
– Regularly supports the Escola do Vidraceiro, in São Paulo, with donations and know-how, offering a profession to children in low-income families;
– Supports and provides technical courses at Senai;
– Promotes guided visits of high school community students to its plant in Tamboré, São Paulo, on a regular basis – contacts with work and production encourages adolescents;
– New computers are provided by DORMA each time and the old ones that are not purchased by employees are donated to underprivileged communities;
– In the Health area, equipment is donated to social initiatives like the São Paulo´s Paraisópolis unit (slum area), installed by the Albert Einstein Hospital;
– Contributes to organizations like AACD São Paulo;
– Culture-wise, it is a sponsor of the ultra-modern Centro Cultural Tomie Ohtake in São Paulo; it has also been a strong supporter of bold initiatives like the MALBA Museum (Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires) run by the Argentinean collector Constantini, in Buenos Aires.
